Schools we would like to hear from you by
completing the questionnaire and sending it back to

Many thanks, we hope you are enjoying the computers. Stop Press The final plan as at November 2011 is for 3 computer centres to be set up. Each will be called the Stroud Rotary Computer Centre. We have enough computers many thanks to everyone who has donated their old computer. Stroud Rotary has been awarded a Matching Grant from Rotary International and RIBI District 1100 in February 2008. £10000 (2 million rupees) is now available with £2800 coming from Stroud Club including the legacy from Stroud Rotarian Jim Gough. It will finance carriage costs (£25 per computer approx) , purchase of robust printers, and uninterruptible power supplies where needed. We have now sent over 300 computers, and all are installed and in use. The Rotary Club of Panadura is working in partnership and installs the computers in the schools and trains the teachers. How it works We have collected redundant computers locally to provide basic computer equipment for junior schools in Sri Lanka where there are no computers. We have been providing 5 per school.
Contact us on if you need more information computersforschoolsinsrilankan@stroudrotary.org.uk Stroud College in Gloucestershire is supporting the project and has given the first 10 computers.

We are grateful to Past Rotarian Jim Gough who left a legacy to the Stroud Rotary Club which is being used to help finance the project.
