Who are we ?

We are a group of people (men and women) with a wide range of interests and experience.  We enjoy working together, to use our talents and skills to help those less fortunate than ourselves.

What is Rotary ?

A worldwide association of over 1 million people like us,  from almost every country of the world, of every religion, race and colour, united by the aim to -

¨ set high standards in our personal and professional lives.

¨ give service to our community and the world.

¨  promote peace and world understanding.

Sounds good, but what have we done ?

Stroud Rotary was founded in 1921, so we have given nearly 90 years of service to the people of this area.  Friends of Hospitals, Drug Rehabilitation, Young Musicians Competition,  Young Leaders Awards,  Mock Interviews, Housebound Outings, Christmas Parcels - and support for hundreds of local and international charities, both in cash and in service.

Why are we so effective ?

In any country in the world, we have personal contact with the leaders in each community.  Disasters, emergencies - there is a Rotary Club on the spot and via Rotary we send our help direct to the people who need it.  No waste, no delay.

Some of the Charities that we have supported
